Police say the truck driver fired at the car on Highway 78 in road rage

Warren Town-A driver on Highway 78 told state police that a truck driver fired a shot at his car during a road rage incident during his commute on Thursday morning.

State Police spokesperson Alejandro Goez said that the police rushed to Hillcrest Road near Exit 40 in Warren Town at about 8:30 in the morning and found the caller’s There is a hole in the windshield, which seems to coincide with a shot from a tractor trailer.

The driver was not injured.

More than an hour later, law enforcement caught up with a tractor trailer on the eastbound Highway 80 near the exit 30 Howard Avenue in Mount Arlington.

According to the police, the driver has been arrested and stated that the charges are under trial. As of Thursday afternoon, the identity has not been announced.

Just last Friday, a North Carolina man in a minivan was accused of threatening another driver with a pistol and then leading the police to hunt down several major highways, including Highways 287, 78 and the New Jersey Turnpike .

The police said that last summer, a woman driving west along Highway 78 said that on July 7 there was a clear road rage incident when a person driving a large black SUV with a Pennsylvania license opened fire on her Toyota Camry. .
