The death of a man in the Rockaway River in Boonton, New Jersey is under investigation

BOONTON-Late on Tuesday afternoon, the Morris County Attorney has identified the body of a 71-year-old man who was found and recovered from the Rockaway River.

The prosecutor’s office said earlier on Tuesday that law enforcement had been called to the area on Monday morning, and the county medical examiner’s office was completing an investigation.

According to a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office, after his initial release, the man was identified as 71-year-old Leslie Roman from Boonton Township.

The authorities stated that there is no danger to the public and there is no suspicion of criminal activity.
