Canadians have not welcomed a large group of people to their home for a long time, so it is understandable that they are a bit tight on the supply.

Whether it’s a relaxing meal with the family or a slightly messy dinner with a never-ending guest list, here is how to set up a table for autumn, from luminous gourds to shatter-proof champagne glasses.

If properly maintained (washed with cold water, do not dry), the elegant linen tablecloth can be used permanently. These tablecloths made in Canada are simple and elegant-critics are full of praise for the quality of the materials and care for the workmanship. Choose from nine different colors and sizes (we prefer pure beige, suitable for any season, and ideal for layering).

For things with specific seasonal landscapes, this exquisite tree pattern tablecloth comes in eight different sizes. It feels like autumn, but still very modern, without the typical pumpkin or leaf prints.

Cloth napkins are expensive, so it is important to find a set of napkins that can be used for every dinner party throughout the year, not just disposable napkins for the holidays. Don't forget the napkin ring and position setting card. These modern white braided rings from Crate & Barrel (pictured) pair well with textured foldable cards and can be used to place seats and mark food on buffet tables. For more rustic tables, these rattan napkin rings will work well.  

All these elegant layers make it easier to fill the gourd. Mix these glass LED pumpkins (green, black and orange) with some mini fresh pumpkins as a centerpiece or mantle.

To fill a larger space, you can mix a set of white vases with candles, just like this suit influenced by modern origami, which can be displayed throughout the year.

If you want a bolder choice, you can fill this copper vase with fresh bouquets to create a relaxing centerpiece.

Mala The Brand is a series of high-quality hand-poured soy candles made in Vancouver. Approximately half an hour before the guests are ready to arrive, light wood or fireside candles to express a warm welcome. (These are also a great gift for the hostess.)

Most cutlery sets can be used for 8 to 12 people, which is sometimes not enough for large dinner parties (especially when considering appetizers and desserts). Disposable plastic is not ideal, but it can be cleaned and reused. (We chose silver instead of gold because users noticed that sometimes golden silverware gets dirty with black marks.)

Skip plastic bottles and switch to glass water bottles-they are not only more elegant, but also more environmentally friendly.

Water glasses are a bit tricky; many times, this is not a direct guest-to-glass ratio (especially when people drink wine, champagne, water, mixed drinks, etc.). These Tossware glasses are stackable and shatter-resistant (even if dropped). Clean and reuse them when you are done or put them in the recycling bin.
