HAMPTON — A Cajun-style seafood restaurant recently opened here.

Juicy King Crab House is a regional chain with another location in Ocean City, Maryland, according to its website.

The nautical themed restaurant is decorated with hanging buoys and fish nets with booths accented with rope coils and fishes. The tables are covered with white, disposable paper tablecloths and the entire restaurant has a total of 12 TVs.

Customers can choose from a variety of seafood such as shrimp, crawfish, mussels and even “dungers,” restaurant manager Joli Cheng, said.

After choosing a protein, the second step is picking a seasoning like Cajun, garlic, chili or Juicy King Crab special, a mixture of Cajun and garlic seasoning. Lastly, customers select a temperature ranging from mild to extra hot.

The restaurant is equipped with a bar and multiple booth and table seating. Behind the table seating are two additional rooms which can be rented out of private events or large parties, Cheng said.

Currently the restaurant offers dine-in and take out options but plans to expand to catering services. The store is still waiting on its ABC license and plans to have wine and beer available.

Juicy King Crab House, 55 Town Center Way, is open Sunday to Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit their website.
